Hey there, so this is the second tutorial I’m making. Today we’ll be making GIFs like all those Starry Sky ones I did.

So what happens is that first, you need to have a set of CGs you want to make a GIF out of. So I’ll be using Starry Sky ~ In Summer ~ CGs here.

And then the Third :

So first, what I will do is to Sharpen the images. The Sharpen function can be found under Filters : Sharpen.

When you’re done with that, in the first image, duplicate that layer. Most likely, you’ll end up with a second layer called : Background Layer.

Make sure the background layer is selected, then go to Filter, Blur, MOTION BLUR.

Set the distance to about 23 pixels so that the effect would be quite ohkay. 

Click ok and once it closes it should be something like this :

After that, click the eye beside the layer that says ” Background Copy “. This will turn that layer’s display off.

So by right, you’ll only see the background layer there.

After that, go to Windows, and click Animation. There should be a display of frames there ( 1 only ).

Create a new Frame by clicking on the symbol that looks like the Create a new Layer symbol.

Once that’s done, select the second frame and click the eye beside Background Copy.

So it’s like in the First Frame you’ll see the CLEAR image while in the Second Frame you’ll see the BLUR image.

At the bottom of the frames, you’ll see something that says 0 Seconds. Change that to anything you like. After that, you’re done.

Like what my other GIFs has, they have more than one image. All you have to do is to just bring the other image to that same canvas under a new layer and a new frame, and do the same things stated above and you have a nice about to be a GIF that looks something like this.

After that, the most tricky part is saving it. Since August, Tumblr disapproves GIFs that is more than 300kb and has a width more than 500 px. 

Go to file, SAVE FOR WEBS AND DEVICES.

Most important first is to change the image’s width to 500px.

Then, you would see the GIF’s file size :

Mess around with the DITHER, LOSSY and COLOURS and don’t touch anything else cause it will only mess everything up TT.TT 

Most importantly, make sure it’s saved as a GIF! Once it’s done click ” Save ” and your image is ready to be uploaded on Tumblr!

I finally decided to make a tutorial for you all since alot of people were asking me about it.

So, today we’ll be talking about editing photos. I’ve decided to use a Iku Mizushima CG, partly because the difference is clearer. 

So, I’ll be guiding you on how to make your image :

So first step, is to go to Deviantart and look for some Photoshop Actions. To elaborate a bit, Photoshop Actions are what you use to edit many things. It’s like it’s done for you. Just press the play button and it will edit the photo slightly for you in terms of Hue, Brightness and other things, depending on the action.

For today, I’ll be using hiimlucifer’s Photoshop Actions 18. His gallery for Photoshop Actions is here :

There are many many different actions from him and many other people, so try not to stick to just one.

After you have downloaded it, just like installing brushes, install the action. If you can’t find the ” Action ” tab, press Alt-F9 or go to the Window and find it.

Once that’s done, you can now open your image in photoshop and start editing it.

So for me I’ll prefer More Colors 2. It kinda gives a ” Cool ” feeling you see?

So when you want to do this, first select your action such that it is highlighted in blue. After that, press the play button at the bottom of the tab. It will automatically edit it for you.

Once that’s done, press Ctrl-Z to undo the ” Merge ” action so that you can freely edit it more.

So, from there, you are free to play around with the few adjustments done there. 

First I went to Color Balance and edited the Midtones :

After that, I went to create a new Level Adjustment layer and edited it a little, so :

After that, merge all the layers together.

What I normally do after that is to Sharpen the image. It can be found under Filters : Sharpen.

It’s pretty much up to you.

Last but not least, remember to add in your watermark! You wouldn’t want people stealing your edit!
